Wee Folk’s inclusive preschool program will offer a balance of structured hands-on activities. Teachers will provide a theme-based curriculum with developmentally appropriate learning centers. These learning centers include dramatic play, blocks, math, writing/reading, art, and science/sensory activities. Each center is designed to help develop writing, scissor cutting, drawing, counting, sorting, and number/letter recognition skills.
Each room has a daily circle time with whole group interactions and cooperative activities. In addition to the Creative Curriculum that we use, Wee Folk also incorporates some enrichment programs to enhance your child’s learning further. For more information regarding our enrichment programs, please visit our Curriculum page.
Each child will have their own portfolio collection. These portfolios will contain work samples, observation notes, and photos. These assessments will be reviewed with parents twice a year during conferences.
